The rules

  1. A technique = name (kit grammar: one or two syllables, folk) + Damage Type + tags (opener, chain, finisher, bind, ward, mark, song, cut-bound, interrupt, reposition…) + Focus cost + cooldown + a text line.
  2. Deck of 8 slotted techniques per fight (GW1). Swapping decks is free between fights; mid-fight only via a Manual consumable.
  3. Ranks 1–5 by use (Monster Hunter mastery, PoE gem levels): rank 3 adds a tag; rank 5 unlocks a Variant (Sunder → Riven Sunder: Blunt + Slash). Variants can be Named at Class Rank IV.
  4. Chains: tag sequences within a party's round resolve as chains (opener → chain → finisher = +30% and a Break point). Order is set by initiative (Dexterity), so positioning and speed builds matter.
  5. Techniques are data with compiled numbers; a new technique is a content pack entry (C-1/C-4 validated).
