What you see

The rules

  1. Charters (bible): guilds with ranks, banks, a hall (rooms built by Building), a Maker's Mark.
  2. Holds: one per floor per guild at most; built by Building and Siegecraft from player materials; contested by siege (Amber by default, Red with war). A Hold has a town: stall slots, a Waystone annex, a library, and residents (NPCs recruited by quests who offer labor: Suikoden's 108, in miniature: a Hold can house up to 12 named residents who each unlock one thing).
  3. Levies: the Hold-holding guild sets a levy (0–3%) on Exchange trades in its floor's town; the levy is income to the guild and the Ledger prints it. Set it high and the floor trades elsewhere.
  4. Wars: declared for a week with a stake (a Hold, a levy, a unique); makes Amber full-loot between the two; the Ledger reports outcomes.
  5. Alliances (up to 3 guilds) share Fronts and sieges; Ordinances (proposed): the three largest Hold-holders on a floor may vote one floor rule per month from a closed list (e.g., Red zone Sanctuary window 60 → 90 s).
  6. Wrought (SYS-25): player-built Hold bosses.
